𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔: liver and detoxification
When it comes to supplements it can be so very overwhelming with what to take. The fact of the matter is, though, we live in a toxic world and our bodies have deficiencies. ..and we could also use a little help detoxing the junk out!!
(and unless you’ve been hiding under a rock lately… 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑃𝑎𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑒, 𝑂ℎ𝑖𝑜 – 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑝𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑦 – 𝑛𝑒𝑤𝑠 …detoxing is definitely something I am interested in focusing in on)
You may have seen this floating all around the socials lately. For good reason…
It supports respiratory function (healthy lung tissue), glutathione production, and detoxification.
Why is glutathione production important?
Supplementing with NAC increases tissue levels of glutathione. As fundamental components of the immune system, lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell – aka natural killer cells) rely on this glutathione to function properly. Tissues enhanced with glutathione support overall antioxidant protection and help to maintain a healthy immune response.
Here’s another reason we need to pump our glutathione production.
It helps fight free radicals (which are unstable atoms that can cause inflammation and damage). NAC has been found to prevent side effects caused by drug reactions and toxic chemicals, and helps break down mucus in the body. Are you sold yet?
Trust the science.
A multicenter, randomized, double-blind trial with 262 participants indicated that NAC supplementation for six months supported upper respiratory tract and immune system health.
This is not medical advice.
Obviously ask your health care provider. Or trust your own momma gut on this one. Whichever you feel the most comfortable with! 😉 But I plan to take 1 capsule daily. My teens will do the same. And for my younger two, I will break the capsule open and give them each half in applesauce.
Hope this helps… and maybe you learned something new today!
